INFRARED COMPETITION - Supported by R72 Club

I’m pleased to announce the start of a new Infrared Photography competition here on - open to all infrared artists in our community and supported by the R72 Club

The theme for this competition is simpily  -   “INVISIBLE LIGHT – YOUR FINEST WORK”  - taking a retrospective look at all the wonderful Infrared images here on DA and inviting people to submit the finest I.R work from their galleries (new or Old). If we make a success of this first competition the intention is to make it a regular event with further ‘themed’ contests for new images.

Apart from looking for the finest artistic images presented,  the judges will also be looking for images that best show the artists grasp of infrared technique and their ability to use this creatively.

THE COMPETITION OPENS TOMMORROW -  1ST  APRIL 2009 AND WILL CLOSE AT MIDNIGHT  15TH MAY 2009

Rules
1)competition opens 1st April 2009 – closes midnight 15th May 2009
2)entries to me by note with a link – I will add them to an ‘Infrared Competition’ Favorites folder in my profile so they can be viewed by judges/competitors
3)1 image per entrant (judges may not enter) – can be old or new work
4)On closing the judges will each pick their top five (allocating 5 points to the best – 4 points to second etc etc to 1 point for their 5th choice)
5)I will compile the judges points to identify the winners – if there is a tie on points I will ask all seven judges to vote on the tied images.
